The Automatic Bonnell Spring Coiling & Assembly Machine is designed for the fully automated production of double-cone Bonnell spring units used in mattresses and sofas. From raw wire feeding to complete spring unit formation, the entire process is seamlessly automated—eliminating the need for manual spring handling or discharge.
The production begins with wire being precisely coiled into springs by the coiling head, followed by knotting at both ends of each spring. The springs then undergo heat treatment to ensure durability and elasticity. After that, they are transferred onto a conveyor where they are neatly arranged in rows. Once aligned, the system automatically pushes the spring rows forward, inserting steel wire through the aligned springs to connect them into a unified Bonnell spring unit.
Engineered with a simplified mechanical structure, the spring transfer unit uses servo motors to accurately position and secure both sides of each spring. This results in high stability, a low failure rate, and consistent performance. The entire system operates with high-precision manufacturing, supported by advanced servo technology that ensures uniform quality at speeds of up to 100 spring pairs per minute.
With CNC-adjustable parameters, tight alignment tolerances of less than 1 cm, a customizable waist diameter, and a high-capacity 1000 kg wire supply, the machine is built for reliable and continuous production. Six synchronized manipulators and enhanced three-splint adjustments maximize operational efficiency while minimizing material waste.
This all-in-one solution is ideal for mattress, sofa, and furniture manufacturers seeking to improve production quality, speed, and automation.
